After check-out comparable 1080p 46 "models from Sharp, Samsung and Panasonic, we agreed on the Sony KDL-46V5100 to replace our dying 10 years 27" Panasonic. Got it in May. We are very pleased with the impressive overall image quality. Are sensitive to images that have some shots of the models: one that is pretty good. The HD quality is incredible for a particular CSI Miami fly-over shot of the beach, everything was so clear that I rubbed my eyes in disbelief! I was the blackout "problem, realize that others have talked about Sony's patch and applied immediately, so there is a problem for us.
Interestingly, 3 stations (ABC, Fox and PBS), had worked well el Cheapo Comcast services (like stopped working) in the city of Atlanta does not (analog or HD) after June 12 transition, while NBC / CBS and a couple of indie stations continue to work well in 1080p HD!
